1 Corinthians 6:18

"Why these points?"

Point #1: No matter the challenge, standing against immorality is ultimately a stand for morality. When we oppose destructive values and behaviors, we are also working to promote stronger character, healthier relationships, and a better society.

Point #2: People may disagree with you or dislike you for expressing moral beliefs that oppose their own. However, disagreement does not automatically make your values wrong. We believe in treating others with kindness and respect, while remaining firm in our convictions and refusing to let opposition weaken our commitment to morality.

Point #3: The United States, along with much of the world, has been deeply influenced by Christian values, moral principles, and long-standing traditions. Whether someone is Christian or not, these values have shaped families, communities, laws, and cultural standards. If society abandons its moral traditions completely, it risks losing the foundation that past generations worked to build and preserve.

Point #4: Cheating is against the word of God and remains widely viewed as a serious betrayal in society. It is one of the leading causes of breakups and broken relationships because it destroys trust, loyalty, and emotional security. We believe faithful commitment is essential to healthy romantic relationships.

Point #5: Romantic and sexual immorality does not only affect the individuals directly involved. It can harm friends, families, communities, and future relationships by normalizing betrayal, dishonesty, and lack of commitment. These behaviors can damage trust, weaken relationships, and create lasting consequences that may affect people for years.

Point #6: At the beginning of Creation, God created Adam and Eve with equal worth and human dignity. A man or woman should not be judged positively or negatively simply because of their sex. People should be judged by their character, choices, and morality, not by whether they are male or female.

Point #7: Tradition plays an important role in maintaining a strong and stable society. We believe romance should be built on love, care, loyalty, and commitment, not lust, selfish desire, or material gain. Relationships are strongest when they are rooted in respect and long-term purpose.

Point #8: Under no circumstances do we believe domestic abuse, sexual abuse, or coercion is acceptable or justified. We also recognize that both men and women can be victims of abuse. Every person deserves safety, dignity, and respect in their relationships.

Point #9: Not every person who has acted immorally should be considered a lost cause. We do not believe humans are naturally born evil. Everyone should have the opportunity to show remorse, seek forgiveness, and work toward becoming a better person. Moral correction should be paired with guidance, accountability, and the possibility of redemption.

Point #10: Sexual relations before marriage are against the word of God. We believe sex should be reserved for marriage because it carries emotional, moral, and life-changing responsibilities. Sex outside of marriage can lead to broken trust, unplanned pregnancies, abortion, unstable relationships, and rushed marriages that may not be built on a strong foundation. Marriage provides the proper commitment and responsibility for sexual intimacy.
